A mobile operating system is the OS that controls the mobiles devices and other hand handled appliance such as ipods. Like desktop computer and laptops have their OS running on them such as windows XP , windows 7 , UNIX, LUNIX, Solaris etc  in the same way mobile have also such OS . However, they are currently somewhat simpler, and deal more with the wireless versions of broadband and local connectivity, mobile multimedia formats, and different input methods.
